Graduating with a degree in architecture in Poland, Sylwia Rebelo drew upon the principles of structural design, spatial composition, and a profound understanding of textures to infuse a distinctive quality into her textile artistry. This fusion of architectural knowledge and artistic expression forms the cornerstone of her creative philosophy.

Sylwia finds inspiration in the everyday and the extraordinary alike. The urban landscapes of her architectural background continue to inspire the geometric precision and spatial awareness evident in her textile art. Sylwia also draws from the natural world, exploring the organic textures and patterns that permeate our environment.

Evolve is a collection of three artworks created in Mont Tremblant, Québec, each capturing the same landscape across spring, summer, and winter. Over the course of a year, Sylwia returned to the exact location in each season, creating each piece on site. Through shifting light, colour, and atmosphere, the series reflects the quiet transformation of nature over time. Revisiting the same place reveals not only change, but continuity. This collection was created during an artist-in-residence stay in partnership with Hinter.
